The program will be held at 7p.m. Wednesday\, March 20\, 2019 in the Social Room at St.\nMichaels Church\, 6629 W. 133rd Ave. CL. \nCedar Lake Police Chief David Coulson said Lori Postma and Gary McKay with\nthe Indiana Department of Homeland Security District 1 Team will give relevant\ninformation about this important issue. Included in this topic – Actions to take when confronted by an active shooter and to assist responding law enforcement; Recognize potential workplace violence indicators; Actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents.

DESCRIPTION:Throughout Lake County\, thousands will gather to discuss the positive work happening in their communities as well as the challenges their communities face\, with the intention of fueling meaningful change. \nThe 2nd Annual “On the Table” event is locally sponsored by the Cedar Lake Police\, Town Hall\, and Chamber.  This wonderful event is put on by the Legacy Foundation as an opportunity to gather around a table with friends\, neighbors\, colleagues\, or strangers to share a meal and talk about issues impacting our neighborhoods. This year\, they are encouraging more groups to take action after their conversations to make Lake County stronger\, safer and more dynamic. DESCRIPTION:Tree sales for the Chamber’s annual “Wonderland of Christmas Trees” begins September 10\, 2018.  The trees will again line the main streets of the community for all to enjoy.   This year\, instead of Scotch Pines\, we have switched to Douglas Firs  and the cost of the trees is $58.00 for a chamber member if the office has a sign from a previous year\, $68.00 if a sign has to be made and $78.00 for non-chamber members. \nContact the Chamber office at 219-374-6157 for more information or to purchase your tree. \nTrees will be arrive and be in place early November and MUST be decorated for the annual Parade of Lights on November 10\, 2018. \n
