The “Bruncheon to Break the Silence” will be held from 10a.m. to 1p.m. on Friday\, March 8 at Villa Cesare\, 900 Eagle Ridge Drive in Schererville. \nAlong with a great brunch and unique vendors\, the event will feature information about this serious issue and a inspirational story from a domestic violence survivor. DESCRIPTION:The Hanover Schools Education Foundation’s “Penguin Plop”will be held on Sat. March 2 at 10a.m. on the lakefront of the Town Complex Grounds\, 7408 Constitution Ave. \nAnyone can enter the “Plop” and dip their “body” into the frigid waters of Cedar Lake. The HSEF hopes to raise $5000.00 by involving local businesses\, organizations and willing participants. \nThe cost to enter is $25.00. Forms are available on line here and in the chamber office.
