The Cedar Lake Branch of the Lake County Public Library and the Cedar Lake Police Department will host a 90 minute hands-off seminar on Sat. March 9 to discuss the Principles and Concepts of Personal Safety. The program will start at 10a.m. It will cover the dynamics of violent encounters and other hazards and discuss steps to reduce risks. Other items to be discussed include: Awareness; Observe/Orient/Decide/Act; How Trouble Finds Us; What you should carry with you, everyday; What kids should know.
